Terms of Service

The agreement that governs Lokips.

By accessing or using Lokips, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully — they cover accounts, microblogging, AI tools and projects, collaboration, services, advertising, revenue sharing, and the law that governs disputes.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lokips (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lokips.

Lokips reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Lokips. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and all registration information you provide is accurate and truthful.

Lokips reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or restrict access at its sole discretion.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must not share your account credentials with any third party. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify Lokips immediately. Lokips is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

Each user may maintain only one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate engagement, impressions, or platform features is prohibited and will result in account termination.

4. Types of Accounts

Individual Accounts: For people who want to post, connect with others, discover AI tools, and upload or collaborate on tools and projects through the Web Network.

Company Accounts: For businesses, startups, and organizations that want to publish content, share AI tools or projects, collaborate with users, and access company-specific features.

Subscription Tiers: Lokips offers free and paid subscription tiers (Portfolio and Bureaucrat). Paid subscriptions provide additional features including verified badges, advanced analytics, and priority listing. Subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you post, upload, or publish on Lokips ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Lokips a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to post your User Content, your User Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, and your User Content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or harmful material.

Lokips reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, without prior notice.

6. Web Network (AI Tools Marketplace)

The Web Network allows users to discover, publish, and collaborate on tools and projects. By publishing a tool or project, you represent that you own or have the right to distribute the content.

File Protection: Lokips implements file fingerprinting technology to protect published projects from unauthorized copying. If you upload files that match existing projects owned by other users, your submission will be blocked automatically.

Collaboration: When you accept a collaboration request, the collaborator gains access to contribute files to your project. Collaborators do not gain ownership of the project. Uploaded collaboration files remain subject to file fingerprint protection and cannot be republished separately.

Monetisation: Eligible users may earn revenue from impressions on their published content. Revenue sharing is subject to eligibility requirements and the Revenue Sharing terms below.

7. Services

Lokips offers services including Developer Help for users who need timely technical guidance while building projects, and Startup Consultation for early-stage founders seeking guidance on growth, audits, and compliance.

Service scope, availability, response times, and fees are displayed on the relevant service page and may change. Payments are processed through secure payment gateways. Any applicable refund or cancellation terms are shown at the time of purchase.

8. Advertising

Lokips offers advertising placements across the Platform, including the microblogging feed, Web Network, video content, and communities. Advertisers agree to comply with all applicable advertising laws and regulations.

Lokips reserves the right to reject, remove, or modify any advertisement that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law. Impression estimates are approximate and not guaranteed. Advertising fees are non-refundable once the campaign has commenced delivery.

Users may report advertisements using the report functionality. Advertisements reported for violations will be reviewed and may be removed.

9. Revenue Sharing

Eligible users may earn revenue from ad impressions on their content. Eligibility requirements include a minimum of 500 followers and impression thresholds that vary by subscription tier (10 million for Basic, 8 million for Portfolio, 6 million for Bureaucrat).

Revenue is estimated based on ad impression rates and is subject to adjustment. Revenue can be withdrawn every 30 days to a verified bank account. Lokips reserves the right to withhold revenue in cases of suspected fraud, artificial impression inflation, or Terms violations.

Lokips reserves the right to modify revenue sharing rates, eligibility requirements, and payout schedules with 30 days prior notice to users.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Artificially inflating impressions, followers, likes, or engagement metrics
• Creating fake accounts, bot accounts, or multiple accounts
• Posting spam, misleading, or deceptive content
• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
• Uploading malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Scraping, crawling, or automated data collection from the Platform
• Circumventing file fingerprint protections or copyright measures
• Using the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Impersonating other users, companies, or entities
• Posting copyrighted content without authorization
• Manipulating search results, trending topics, or recommendation algorithms

11. Intellectual Property

Lokips and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Lokips and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Lokips name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Lokips and may not be used without prior written consent.

Users retain ownership of their User Content. However, any feedback, suggestions, or ideas submitted to Lokips may be used without obligation or compensation.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Lokips disclaims all warranties including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Lokips does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lokips shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

In no event shall Lokips's total liability exceed the amount paid by you to Lokips in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

Lokips may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

You may deactivate your account at any time through the Settings page. Deactivation does not automatically delete your data. To request data deletion, contact support.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
